Express Fitness Club Policies

EXPRESS FITNESS LIMITED – CLUB POLICIES

All definitions found in the Terms and Conditions apply to the Club Policies herein.

At Express Fitness, we are committed to providing the best possible experience for all our members. To maintain a safe, respectful and efficient environment, all members and guests must familiarize themselves with and adhere to the following policies, which form part of your membership agreement.

Membership Eligibility & Enrolment

Minimum Age: Membership is available to individuals aged 16 years or older.

Parental Consent: Members aged 16–17 must have a parent or guardian present during sign-up. The parent/guardian must sign the membership agreement and a waiver allowing the minor to use the club. Members under the age of 18 will not be issued a key fob and may only access the Club during staffed hours.

Childcare: Express Fitness does not provide childcare services. Children under the age of sixteen (16) are not permitted beyond the reception area of the Club except with the prior approval of Express Fitness or where participating in a programme or activity expressly authorised by Express Fitness. Any person who brings a child under 16 onto Club premises is responsible at all times for the child's supervision, safety and conduct. Children under 16 must not be left unattended at the Club or outside the Club while a parent or guardian is working out.

Identification & Security: Upon joining, a photograph will be taken for identification, safety and security purposes. Failure to comply will prevent completion of the sign-up process.

Medical Conditions: Members are responsible for informing Express Fitness of any medical condition that may make exercise unsafe.

Orientation Requirement: A mandatory orientation must be completed before using the Facilities. Orientation may be completed in person at the Club or electronically, including as part of the online sign-up process, and is required for all membership types.

Corporate Memberships: To begin or end a corporate membership, the company’s HR representative must contact our sales department at sales@expressfitnessja.com. Employees wishing to join or cancel a corporate membership must do so through their company's HR department rather than contacting Express Fitness directly.

Billing, Payments & Membership Changes

  • Memberships of at least eight (8) weeks are eligible for freezing due to medical or personal reasons.
  • The maximum freeze period is 12 weeks.

  • To request a freeze, contact customercare@expressfitnessja.com. Prepaid memberships will have their expiration date extended by the length of the freeze.

Club Access

Key Fob Access: Access to the club is granted via a key fob. A replacement fee of JMD 2,000 applies for lost fobs. Members under the age of 18 are not issued a key fob and may only access the Club during staffed hours (see Membership Eligibility & Enrolment above).

Access Key Use: Sharing or using an access key not registered to you is prohibited and may result in a fine of up to JMD 10,000 and/or termination of membership.

Guest Policy: Guests participating in promotions must sign in at reception and provide photographic identification. Failure to do so may result in denial of access.

Members involved in any accident, or witnessing one, should notify staff immediately. Any ambulance, medical or other emergency response costs are the Member's responsibility. Express Fitness staff are not medical practitioners, and any assistance they provide is given in good faith based on the circumstances at the time.

Dress Code

  • Athletic Wear: Appropriate athletic attire, including tops and bottoms designed for exercise, is required at all times.

  • Seek staff assistance if you are unsure how to use equipment. Express Fitness is not responsible for injuries resulting from incorrect use.

  • Photographing or filming any other member, guest or staff member without their permission is prohibited anywhere in the Club. Obtain prior consent from anyone who may appear in your photographs or videos. If you inadvertently capture someone without consent, delete the image/footage upon their request.
  • Club Filming: Express Fitness occasionally conducts photography and videography within the club for promotional and marketing purposes. Members will be informed when promotional photography or videography is taking place. By entering or remaining in an area where such photography or videography is taking place, a Member consents to the reasonable capture and use of the Member's image, likeness and voice for promotional, marketing and related business purposes and may ask not to be featured, in which case Express Fitness will, where reasonably practicable, ensure that they are not featured, and will, where reasonably practicable, withdraw or cease further use of any existing promotional material in which the Member is identifiably featured.
